I noted the same problems with directions and measuring as the first reviewer and feel it is necessary to also point out that the goggles included are not safety goggles. The goggles had a tiny sticker that said they were only a toy and did not provide protection. Frankly, I expected better from something with the Smithsonian name on it.

My advice is not to waste your money on it. We followed all the instructions, which were not exactly easy to read. It says to let the solution sit for 3 days and watch the crystals grow - its been 3 days and we are still waiting, there are no crystals.

The part which says, add the seed crystals, or the rocks for the crystals to grow is very misleading, if you follow the instructions, for the last set of crystals you will not have any seed crystals or rocks left.
